Project Introduction by Michele Compare
UNICA project coordinator, Michele Compare, presents the project’s mission and objectives. Co-funded under the EU4Health Programme, the initiative aims to foster an inclusive and collaborative environment where AI experts, clinicians, medical doctors, software engineers, and other key stakeholders work closely together to advance cancer screening across the EU. By combining cutting-edge research with practical clinical insights, the project seeks to improve early detection, streamline diagnostic pathways, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes. In the long run, the proposed ideas, methodologies, and technologies have the potential to be truly disruptive, supporting more accurate and accessible screening systems and contributing significantly to citizens’ health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
